The St. Regis Club will be featuring the artwork of Jason Rowland and Megan King in a private showing on Saturday, February 18, 2012 beginning at 8PM.

About the Artists

Jason Rowland is a self taught stencil graffiti artist from Winona Lake.  He has been creating art all of his life, but took the leap of showing professionally only a few short years ago.  In that time, he has received awards and praise for his take on pop stlye art.  Jason mostly works on found materials, but uses canvas from time to time.  He has shown locally, nationally, and internationally with shows in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, New York, Spain, and Italy.

Megan King is a native of Kosciusko county.  She grew up in North Webster, and studied fine arts (painting, drawing, and photography) at IPFW.  Since then she’s completed several private commissioned figurative works, and resides in Warsaw, IN.  Megan’s also a singer/songwriter, and just finished her 3rd album in Nashville with acclaimed producer, Mark Hornsby (www.meganking.net).  While studying in college, she fell in love with the Surrealist movement, which you can see in the imaginative dreamscapes captured in her paintings.  At this Saturday’s show, Megan will feature some of her surrealist, figurative, and landscape work.  Also featured will be some designs compiled for local craftsman, Britton Day, who owns and founded “Institution Longboards.”  A few of his handcrafted longboards will be displayed with design work featured by the artist.  Pablo Picasso said, “Art washes away from the soul, the dust of everyday life.”  Come get some perspective.
